You’re Queer, We’re Here - Going Through the Asylum Journey
A space of support for LGBTQIA+ asylum seekers — a place to meet, share, and navigate the asylum journey together.
Are you going through the asylum process in Belgium?
Do you feel isolated, uncertain, or overwhelmed?
Do you have questions about your future, your rights, or your place in society?
Are you looking for people who understand what you are going through?
You are welcome to join this peer support group — a space where we come together to share experiences, knowledge, and support.
This is a peer-centered space, meaning:
- we learn from each other’s experiences
- we share practical information about the asylum process
- we talk about emotional wellbeing, survival, and staying connected
- we reflect on being queer in different social and cultural contexts
- we support each other through uncertainty and challenges
In this group, you can:
- meet others in similar situations
- share your story (only if you want to)
- ask questions and exchange knowledge
- feel less alone
- access information and resources
- take space to breathe, reflect, and connect
We keep the group small (10–15 participants) to ensure a safer and more intimate setting. Confidentiality and respect are essential.
